Dear Cousins,

Please keep cousin Greg Parkinson, his wife Hope and their son Chase in your thoughts and prayers Greg was hospitalized yesterday for complications from intestinal scar tissue Testing tomorrow will reveal if surgery will be required and he is in a lot of pain Their home in Austin burned and is a total loss except for outer brick structure They were in the process of gutting burned debris and supposed to move from a hotel to a rent house this week They do have house insurance, but as you can imagine, their lives are turned upside down, both of them trying to work full time and clean out all that debris and sort through what can be salvaged, replace all their clothing and household belongings etc Hope said their was one load of clothes in the dryer that survived! I am leaving in the morning to go help for a few days Hope was already stressed before Greg was hospitalized! This weekend they are having demolition workdays Saturday and Sunday If anyone is in the Austin, Tx area and wants to volunteer swinging a sledge hammer in Texas triple digits, come on down!
